History/General Info: Walibi World in the Netherlands was purchased by Star Parks in 2004 from Six Flags after the new management of the company decided to sell off their European parks in an effort to try and cut costs. Because the purchse was early in the season, the park actually remained under the Six Flags Holland name until the 2005 season, when it was renamed Walibi World. Many of the attractions at the park (including many of their roller coasters) were all added in 2000, two years after the chain had purchased the park from the Walibi Group. Today, the park is owned and operated by Grévin & Cie, the company that purchased the park when Star Parks sold it in 2006.
